My work explores the elusive nature of time and incorporeality. I have sought ways to represent the nonrepresentational—particularly death and its complexities. This has led me to abstraction/expressionism.
I thrive on the raw chaos of creation, where mistakes and imperfections are embraced. Paint becomes an extension of my experiences, and rough surfaces embody the struggle between creator and creation. My work reflects on the impermanence of life and the fleeting nature of emotion, thinking about the topic of presence. Each piece explores transitions—life’s illusions, the awareness of mortality, and the relinquishing of self. Ultimately, my work is a conversation about transformation.
I invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of grief, existence, and the passage of the present moment. Through this exploration, I aim to create a space for questioning, reflection, and connection.
